It was in Mrs. Chatlain's 5th grade class and we were assigned to do a biography report. It was a BIG deal. The final product was to be a handmade puppet look-alike of our person and we had to stand on stage in front of a microphone and a cafeteria full of students and parents to do our oral report. I got up there and rocked my paper Abigail Adams with the pink rickrack dress and brown yarn hair. I LOVED doing that presentation. That was the day a public speaker was born.
I speak to women's groups for workshops, conferences, and retreats focusing on building stronger families using simple traditions while LETTING GO of unrealistic expectations and stress.
